The nursing and medical care of patients is maintained on 10 general nursing wards, one interdisciplinary intensive care unit and several functional units:

• Central OR
• Anesthesiology
• Endoscopy
• Interdisciplinary urgent care center
• Birthing center
• Cardiac catheterization laboratory

The nursing management of the wards and departments is under qualified ward supervisors and their deputies.
The ward nursing teams are chiefly comprised of registered nurses and is in many cases supported by ward assistants.
The practical training of nursing students, students and interns underlies the supervision of qualified mentoring staff in the individual medical fields.

The nursing director administration as supervisory entity for the nursing department is comprised of the nursing director and her deputy, the bearer of nursing adminstration, and the department leaders of each medical field.
The administration of internal nursing training is affiliated with the nursing administration department, which is operated concurrently with the Krankenhaus Nordwest. This assures continuous occupational education and training.
